This sculpture was inspired by my oldest daughter, called Freya.  On a visit to my studios, when she was 4, she asked me to sculpt "one of us", and after talking it over, we decided it would be fun to sculpt me swinging her up in the air as that is how I make her feel!

The sculpture celebrates the joy that young children bring to our lives as well as the strength required to support them in their journey.
